When Doing More Creates Less
There is a really simple solution to use today for creating the changes in your life you are seeking right now.
Not from hustling.
Not from the way we've always done things (or even doubling down on this)
Not from the new, on-trend way we seen on the internet today.
It is through stillness.
Stillness that can be interpreted as mindful walk, 10 minutes of reflection before sleep, a quite bath or shower... anytime where we silence the activity around us and create space for our true self to come forward.
Day to day we are depleted of the resource of stillness through our busy lives, ongoing schedule or commitments we believed to be fulfilling but they only serve to fill our days with more activities. More doing, less being.
I did this recently when I was looking for our new home. I had a few days of frantic energy where I (falsely) assumed I needed to busy myself and make this happen ASAP. In those few days, I had been filling all my time with driving to viewings/making offers/constantlyscouring the apps for something that we liked...
But it all felt so forced and almost...desparate.
So I came to my own version of stillness (Shamanic Journeying) and decided instead I was going to do what felt more like ease- I deleted the real estate apps, I cleared my schedule to only include time fully enjoying the things I love doing and I set the intentions of exactly what I was looking for in our new home knowing that this would create the results.
Stillness allowed me to see I was acting in opposition to what I wanted.
It allowed me to assess and implement what my next steps would be.
It allowed me time to regulate my nervous system to hold the space for the property that DID come through just a few days later.
And it wasn't through me chasing it. It came through a text from the realtor to let me know they believed they had found the perfect place for us and were letting me know before anyone else.
I didn't need to do more. I needed to be more like me.
Without the stillness, there would have been no result.
It doesn't just work for buying a property.
You can apply it to considering your relationships, making decisions on your day to day, picking up on where blocks or triggers are showing up for you...
More stillness creates less burnout, less overwhelm, less drainage on your resources.
